Some words about Francesca's spiritual images.....
Guadalupe in Blue was inspired by many walks in the cemeteries looking at old
crypts, doors to the unknown, and weathered paint and stone.
As I was working on the window in Photoshop, her image came to me so
I put her in the window.  I then received a prayer for her and put it in the
exhibit  I had with OneLife Institute- Transformative Visions 2007 at Linen Life Gallery.
She is now part of OneLife Institute's art collection but still travels to places
          when she is needed. :)

CIIS Dark Mother and Three Roses Postcard and Dance of the Dark Mother Collage
This was a long process of dance, homage, prayer, sculpture, and studies with Dr. Lucia
Chiavola- Birnbaum, feminist herstorian and author of several books on the Dark Mother.
The drumming and ritual of Alessandra Belloni influenced my affirmation of my
Southern Italian roots, spirituality, and of course the Tarantella.

          Monastery Dreams-NY
This image is a composite of the stone walls of the NY Cloisters
and the Tabernacle at St. Patricks' Cathedral in New York.  I've spent  hours in these
two places, photographing and being in awe of the wonder of the sacred place.

          Rev. Dr. Elouise Oliver-Oakland, CA
She is a powerful contemporary Dark mother and spiritual leader to many in Oakland and in other places . She influenced me with her prayer and gratitude. After photographing her many times, I captured this one spiritual moment while she was  in prayer during Sunday service. When I showed it to her and the congregation  loved it so much several thousand postcards and gratitude cards were produced. A few years later the image was then etched in a crystal.  East Bay Church of Religious Science has a large copy of this image in the Church lobby in Oakland,CA.

The Statute of Our Lady of Fatima on her feast day is brought out my the priests at St. Leanders Church and a candlelight procession through the street is held.
I saw her devotees hold candles and follow her through the streets one Friday night.
The priest was chanting  "Ave Maria, Ave Maria in Latina and prayer in Portugese.....we followed the procession to the Church where the statue was placed....The old tradition of taking Our Lady out on her feast day was honored.  She was very beautiful and peaceful.
